Fitness for Cool People provides dancers, athletes, and the general population the necessary means to live a funkier lifestyle through an evidence-based approach to fitness, performance, and nutrition. Dance is the movement of the world, a dynamic expression of artistry and athletic skill that connects the globe. All dancers want to do is be able to keep dancing as long as possible and enjoy everything music and movement can bring them. For the truly dedicated, it is being able to push the limits of their body and their abilities, being able to perform at an optimal level. Through our services, dancers can extend their careers and improve their performance, being able to do what they love better and longer than they ever thought possible. By using the most up-to-date strength and conditioning programming techniques, we can improve and unlock new physical abilities and allow dancers to push their limits, repair and recover, and become the very best version of themselves.
About The FFCP Team
Eli is the lead strength coach and scientific consultant for FFCP. He is charge of athletic training and content production, nutrition, culinary resources, and all things science and athletics-based. He is an NSCA and NASM-CPT, a USOC Bronze-level trainer for weightlifting. He has a B.S. in Biology and is published in the Journal of Cellular and Molecular Signalling for graduate research in molecular genetics on the apoptotic pathways in leukemia. Using an evidence-based approach, he is able to take modern sports exercise research and training models and apply them to optimal athletic performance and athlete durability, allowing athletes to do whatever they do better and longer than they thought. His interests include strength training, culinary arts, and dancing where he trains predominantly in popping and other funk-related dance styles.
Kiba is a professional breaker with the Los Angeles Chargers dance squad, has danced with Insomniac for several years at events such as EDC and Lightning In A Bottle, as well as prominent LA breaker crews. Originally from The Bay, now an LA local, Kiba’s combination of explosive strength, unique anthropometry, and relentless work ethic has allowed him to become the comic book character he wanted to be when he was a kid. As an avid anime, comic, and video game fan, Kiba constantly finding inspiration for his dancing. He has a background in traditional breaker skills and power moves, capoeira, martial arts acrobatics and tricking, giving him a dynamic style blending all of his passions. With all of his skills, he continues to push his own limits in his personal attempt to be a master of human motion. In spare time, you can find him eating, sleeping, and playing Super Smash Bros. in his natural habit, The Valley.
Reese is involved with all technical and media art components of FFCP. With a background in games and animation, Reese lends a critical eye to everything put forward by FFCP, and handles most of the design or editing for that content. His experience in production, quality assurance/control, user interface, and user experience, has allowed him to help developers of all varieties improve their products with thoughtful feedback and suggestions, which is often exercised during variety gaming livestreams on Twitch. Reese also helps manage business development and partnership outreach opportunities.
